Our Members
Club Members’ success at the PAGB Masters of Print 2023
Congratulations to four of our members who had work accepted into the highly prestigious PAGB Masters of Print Exhibition
The exhibition will be held at the Bull Ring, Birmingham, opening on 4 Feb 2023 until 3 March. Only 60 works are accepted and no more than one per photographer. What’s more, you have to enter new work or work that hasn’t been widely seen elsewhere.
Jane Lee had “Hudson Bay Winter Freeze Begins” accepted in the Colour section and received a Judges Choice award from Louise Hill MPAGB as her favourite colour image. This is the 4th time that Jane has had a print accepted which is very impressive - up there where she belongs, amongst the country’s top club photographers and printers!
Stephen Jones had “Green and Pleasant Land” accepted in the Monochrome section and received a Judge’s Choice award from Dutch judge Armando Jongejan FRPS as his favourite monochrome image.
Lisa Bukalders had “Elephant” accepted in the Monochrome section
Tim Downton had “Grey Heron with Eel” accepted in the Nature section.
The 2023 exhibition was a noteworthy achievement at different levels. As well as great individual success, Dorchester were ranked overall fourth on points and members from the Western Counties entered more prints than any other Federation. Prints are on the up!
To find out more, download the PAGB e-News 323 Extra report on the 2023 Masters of Print. The catalogue will be released once the exhibition is open on 4 February 2023.
Well done to everyone who was successful and thanks to the organiser, Rod Wheelans, his team and the judges.
